Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Jacob Son grew up in New Mexico and earned his undergraduate degree in Neurobiology and Physiology from Purdue University, graduating with honors. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Indiana University School of Dentistry, one of the most respected dental schools in the country. While there, he also traveled to Haiti on a dental service trip, where he cared for patients in underserved communities.

Before moving to Colorado, Dr. Son practiced in Wisconsin, where he received advanced training in oral surgery, root canal treatment, cosmetic dentistry, and dental implants. He completed more than 300 hours of implant-specific training and achieved Fellowship status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). He stays active in continuing education through Spear Study Club, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the ICOI so that he can provide the best and most modern care to his patients.

In addition to practicing dentistry, Dr. Son teaches as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, helping train future dentists.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
