How ClearCorrect Works

ClearCorrect requires that you receive customized aligners that are made from impressions taken of your teeth. Dr. Ahern or Dr. Arnold will go over the details of treatment during your fitting, but you can expect to wear your trays 20-22 hours a day. The flexibility in being able to remove aligners while eating and drinking makes wearing them for the remainder of the day essential.

You can clean your teeth more thoroughly because you will remove your trays beforehand, but you can easily keep your aligners free of bacteria by cleaning them throughout the day. Also, you’ll be required to swap out your current set for the next one in the series until you are finished with all of them. How many you will need is largely up to your dentist and will be determined during the consultation phase.

The Benefits of ClearCorrect Clear Aligners

Apart from being more convenient than traditional metal braces, Clear Correct also:

  • Uses gentle pressure to shift teeth into alignment, as opposed to the forced wire tightening that is required with metal braces.
  • Minimizes irritation because there are no protruding brackets or wires rubbing against soft oral tissues.
  • Creates a virtually invisible appearance, making it nearly impossible for others to see your braces.
  • Reduces the amount of time spent wearing braces, with many individuals completing treatment in six months (this is not always the case).

Is ClearCorrect the Same as Invisalign?

Although both are clear aligner systems, they have differences that you should be aware of before deciding how best to move forward with orthodontic treatment, such as:

  • The cost is generally lower with ClearCorrect, but this is primarily determined by the severity of tooth misalignment, the location of the dental practice, and other similar factors.
  • ClearCorrect’s aligners are thinner than Invisalign's, making them less noticeable.
  • ClearCorrect’s aligners are cut straight across, allowing for quicker tooth movement because of how they can use your gums to create more force.
